Every year Wiz Kidz has a can food drive in the month of December ,we donate all the food we collect to the local food bank. This year we are doing something different. My mother and father in law are serving their mission in the Philippines. They have shared with me how little the Filipino people have where they are serving, especially the children.
I have decided to have a Wiz Kidz donation bank in our classroom where the children can donate money of any amount. The week before Christmas I will send my mother in law the money that we have donated and she will keep us updated with pictures and letters on how our donations are helping in the Philippines.
We will start collecting donations the week of Thanksgiving all the way until Christmas Break.
This is a great way to help your children learn about sharing and giving.
