It's going to be a great year!!
Don't forget to send your child in a sweatshirt or coat everyday,
we will try to get a little bit of outside time depending on the weather.
If the weather is too cold or snowy/rainy..we will be doing our recess inside.

We LOVE preschool.
It's getting that time of year when it's FREEZING outside!
Don't forget to send your child with a warm coat.
We like for the kids to run outside everyday even if it is for a couple minutes..
and we want them to stay warm.
If it snows we will let you know what days we will be having our outside snow days which include,building a snowman and snow cave, on those days they will need
full snow wear, but we will send a note home so you know a head of time.

Morty had a Birthday...he's 5!!!

I LOVE when the kids make new friends...
when I hear their little conversations it is so cute.
The other day this is what I heard...
"Should we be friends with the boys?"...
"Yes boys can be friends too. lets ask them if they want to
be our Princes and we will be princesses".
Your children are so CUTE!!
I love getting to know them and seeing their personalities.

Tomorrow Tuesday April 19th we will be singing
"My Flag" at the Provo City Council meeting.
Please meet at the city building{ there is parking in the rear or right on Center Street}
at 6:45-6:50. We are first on the agenda and will be able to leave right after.
Parents brings cameras etc. We have been practicing really hard and are excited!
Wear any combination of Red, White and Blue!

I know we are only going to be starting the month of March but I want to let everyone one know that we are, after many requests opening a Summer School 6 week course..Look for more info being sent home, we have LOTS of fun activities for the kids to do.

We are also starting to get calls for next Fall enrollment..Wiz Kidz this year get first chance to enroll so talk to Jill or Midge so we can get you on our list.

We are BACK!!
I hope all of you had a GREAT Thanksgiving break.
Here are a few reminders
*Send a coat with your child everyday
* check weather and see if they should bring gloves, hats etc. we might
try to play in the snow if it isn't too cold.
* If your Wiz Kid is sick please keep them home, this is the season of sickness
and we would love to see all the kids enjoy a healthy happy holiday season!
* Don't forget their backpack..we will be doing LOTS of fun Christmas projects this month.

On our Ii day we talked about inches, we lined all the kids up from tallest to shortest and measured them all, they thought it was the coolest thing ever to see how many
INCHES they were!

My Son (Miss Jill) is in Jr. high and he had a shadow your parent at work day, when he was little he was a Wiz Kid too so he was happy to come back and help teach. He read the kids a book and played with them outside, the kids really liked Cameron.

For those parents who are interested in the cd of the songs that we sing at school and for the ones who have already paid, I will have the Cd's done before Thanksgiving break, I have had some technical problems with my computer but they are fixed now, Thank goodness!

I can't believe that this school year is almost over!!
I have enjoyed teaching your children so much.

We are losing a lot of kids this year because they are going to Kindergarten (we are so HAPPY for them), for those kids who are not going to kindergarten in the fall we still have spots available for next school year. If you have not reserved a spot yet, let Jill know. Now on to the FUN stuff!!
This week we are going to be having so much fun.
Monday/Tuesday: Mother's day projects
Wednesday: FIELD TRIP, UTA bus ride, You will be getting reminders with details on mon & tues, if you have any questions please call Jill. We will be meeting at the bus stop which is by the old health dept across from Provost Elementary, there is a little park there. You will also be picking your kids back up there at 11:30. It will be a little cold in the morning so make sure you dress warm. ALL classes are coming this day, Morning & Afternoon.
Thursday: NO SCHOOL!!
Friday: Uniforms day, we will be having the Provo fire dept. and Provo Police come to our school and talk to the kids about what they do.
They will be coming at 11am. all m/w/f classes come normal time in the morning, t/th morning & afternoon are invited to come at 11 and meet the police & fire fighters and see the fire truck and police car!

We vwill be singing our Patriotic song this Tuesday the 20th, at 7pm at the city council. We need the wiz kid zthere by 6:50pm, no later. Please wear any combination of red, white or blue.
We are first on the agenda and after the children are done you are free to leave.

We had a fun week last week,B week! We played Balloon Volleyball on Wednesday and on Thursday & Friday we had a Teddy Bear Picnic! Thanks to the Moms & Dads that sent yummy jams to put on our bread!

The kids had so much fun making their Indian Vests. We also had Nurse Heather come teach us about washing our hands correctly. She is a Provo School District Nurse and works at many of the schools that your kids will be going to, she is also Miss Midge's daughter!!
We have been practicing cutting, they are doing a GREAT JOB!!

ICE CREAM CAMPAIGN

On Election Day we held an "official" election to determine what flavor of ice cream would win. The two candidates were CHOCOLATE and VANILLA. Everyone got to taste both kinds and cast their vote. We polled both the morning and afternoon classes and we have election results..... CHOCOLATE narrowly won by only ONE vote over VANILLA. The final vote count was 15 to 14 in favor of CHOCOLATE....(Teachers voted too- which definitely skewed the vote away from the kids)

We will be talking about what we are thankful for all this month. On Show and Tell days have your child bring something that they are thankful for, example: a picture, a note etc.

We are also starting our Sub for Santa this month,we have a RED Crayon bank in our classroom and we have told the kids that they can bring money to put in it whenever they want: Pennies, dimes, quarters, nickels dollars whatever they would like.
Before our christmas break Miss Jill will purchase something with all the money and we will be wrapping it and giving it to a needy child. This has been a real big success the last few years and the kids really enjoy doing it!

The kids LOVE the Monster Mash song. Their favorite part is walking around the rug looking and acting like SCARY MONSTERS and as you can tell they have some really scary faces!

It has been a lot cooler in the mornings lately and will be getting colder still. We like the kids to get a chance to get their wiggles out and have some outside play time. As long as it is not really cold, raining or snowing we will be letting them go outside so if you could please make sure you send a light sweatshirt or coat with them so they are not cold that would be great that way they can have some FUN outside time before it gets WAY TO COLD!

Cold & Flu season is approaching.
If your child is sick with a fever, cough (We do know that some kids have allergies around this time of year, you can usually tell if it is a cough do to allergy/asthma or something else), snotty/runny nose, strep throat (and not on antibiotics) please keep them home that way we can prevent germs from spreading.
We have the kids wash their hands a lot during class and also have hand sanitizer (if you would like to donate tissue and hand sanitizer that would be a GREAT help!!)

It's that time again,
Back to School!!
We will be having our back to school night on
August 13th from 6-8pm.
What to bring with you:
Contract filled out, Health waiver (consent form),
Student Information sheet & Supply fee is due at this time $35.
We will be taking your child's picture, handing out your
WIZ KIDZ t- shirts and backpacks, there will also be some
light refreshments!

We decided to do it a little different this year that way we
can visit and meet with all of you. In years past it gets a little
crazy with everybody coming at the same time.
If these times do not work for you and your child you are
Welcome to come anytime from 6-8pm.
Here is our following Schedule:
